Christmas was Wonderful!

Our Christmas was wonderful this year! We had an amazing holiday season full of love and family. Hannah loved everything... the lights, the Christmas tree, and especially Santa's visit! She was so cute this year... always telling us "Christmas is about the Baby Jesus". We are so blessed to have such a wonderful, beautiful child that is full of love and the holiday spirit!

We did lots of fun things this year... Made Gingerbread cookies and holiday cookies; Did lots and lots of baking!; Went and saw Santa Claus!; Saw the Holiday lights; Watched our Christmas movies; Went to Hannah's Girl Scout Christmas Dinner; Went to our little dancer's Christmas demonstration at the dance studio, and had our traditional Christmas Eve Gumbo! We had a wonderful Christmas Day and Hannah loved all of Santa's suprises! Christmas Day was spent with Paw Paw and Grandma Jen, Bobby, Brandi, Ari and Phillip. We missed our Nana, though! She spent her Christmas in Las Vegas this year! :( Overall, Christmas was wonderful.

We will be posting pictures soon, so everyone can share in our Holiday Joy!

It's Been Crazy with my Online Store.... !! And other things!

So I guess the holidays really are here... orders have been out of control on my shop and I've got tons of stuff to do. Great thing is... I'm making money and I'm doing something that I love: creating!

Everything is going pretty well for us, we are getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving and I'm looking forward to pigging out (the one day of the year that you can... and nobody can say anything to you!). I love turkey, and most of all I love mashed potatoes... mmm my favorite!

We are all doing well. Hannah is loving Kindergarten and gets smarter every day. Some of the things she does amazes me. She turned 6 last week, and I can believe how big my baby is getting. I will definitely be posting pictures from her 6th Birthday here soon. Just gotta get these orders done first! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

A Little Bit of Nothing

So, it seems that I get around to updating our blog about once a month... how sad! But I'm working on it. Eventually you will get to the point where you won't care to read what I have to say, because there will be a blog entry every day!

So, our fall season is off to a decent start. I much prefer Autumn weather to Summer weather. I prefer a little bit of a chill, but not too much. Hannah is doing great, and started Girl Scouts a few weeks ago and loves it. They even went to the Planetarium last Saturday and learned about planets, constellations and had a pizza lunch. She loves it! She also loves dance and tumbling. She's got a very busy schedule for a little 6 (almost) year old!

Halloween was great! We took Hannah out trunk or treating and to a carnival at her school on Friday night. Then she went both trunk or treating, and trick or treating on Saturday night. Tons of candy, and tons of sugar highs!! Hannah was Belle from Beauty and the Beast (with vampire fangs.. don't ask!). She was so cute and loved every minute of it.

Rosie's Bowtique is doing great! Business is starting to pick up. I had taken tons of new pictures of my products, and they are much better quality pictures and I feel that it is really helping to boost my sales. This week I have a wholesale order of 30 tutus to complete in 2 days. Good thing I have the next 2 days off, or I don't know how in the world I would accomplish that. You can visit it at RosiesBowtique.Etsy.com

Well, here are some recent pictures from the last few weeks. Enjoy!

Hannah's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Hannah started Kindergarten this year at St. Joseph's Catholic Elementary in Ogden. She loves it, and is doing very well. Her Paw Paw and her Grandma Jen took her to her first day of school... because we both had to work... which made me sad, but at least she had her Paw Paw to hold her hand and walk her to her first day of school. Her first week was a little rough, but she has straightened up since then. She just couldn't understand why she couldn't sing while the teacher was talking... my little free spirited girl! She's loving school, and is very advanced for her age.

She already knows most of what they are teaching and loves to help the other kids learn too. She goes all day from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM. Very long day for such a little girl! I miss my baby during the day, but I am very proud of how well she is doing. Before I know it she won't want a kiss in the morning before school, or me to do her hair everyday,or to talk about her day, or me to have anything to do with her at all! So I better enjoy it while it lasts. I will post some pictures of her first day later! :)

Very busy summer... and haven't had the internet due to financial constraints!!

So sorry everyone that I promised to write more on the blog and I've gotten lazy about it! I haven't had the internet lately due to financial constraints, but we have it back now. I haven't been on Facebook much, either! So, I will update more now that we have internet again!

Summer 2009

Houdini... The Cat Formerly Known as Zoe!

So, last night I was taking out the garbage... and left the back door open to do so... and our cat, Zoe, got out. Usually when she goes out the door, she comes right back. Actually she usually doesn't go any farther than 2 feet from the door. But last night she must have grown some cajones and took off and I couldn't find her anywhere in the dark. It was actually quite saddening, because I really love this cat. She has grown on me, even though she can be really raunchy to other people. So, I looked for her for awhile and then just decided to go to bed and hope that she came home. So, this morning I opened the back door, and what do you know??? Zoe was sitting there waiting for her chow. I guess the grass wasn't greener on the other side!

Trying to stay updated!

Hey everyone! I know I haven't been the best about updating our blog regularly, but I'm really going to start trying more! We have had a pretty eventful summer! Hannah has been a dancing machine, and is now on a competition dance team and loves it! She is also taking tumbling now, which has been really good for her. We have done a lot of swimming, playing outside, went to an amusement park, and Mom even got to go on a cruise with her Mom. Life has been good to us for the most part! Here are a few pictures from this summer.

Hannah was in the Syracuse Heritage Days Parade with her dance studio in June! She loved throwing candy to everyone, and riding on the float. Here is her right before the parade.

Here is Hannah having fun at Lagoon! She was tired of me taking pictures of her on this day, and when I said "smile"... this is what I got!!

Hannah loves the pool in our neighborhood, and has had so much fun this summer swimming with family and friends. Here she is getting ready for a day at the pool! She does the strangest poses!

Hannah's cousin, Logan, turned a year old this summer! We had a great time celebrating his birthday with him and his family, and spending time with him! Isn't he the cutest?

I have tons more pictures from this summer, but am having a bit of trouble with this... so I'm going to do the rest of them with a slide show... if I can figure it out!

Our Little Candy Cane - Nutcracker 2008

Hannah is our little dancer! She loves ballet, tap, tumbling and jazz. She is becoming very good at dance, and is developing her talents nicely!
In December 2008, Hannah was dancing with Hot Shots Dance Studio in Pleasant Grove (this was before our move to Clearfield). They did the Nutcracker, and Hannah was a Candy Cane. She loved it, and did an amazing job. We were so proud of her, and she loved "wearing the makeup". I don't know how I feel about the makeup part, but if it's for dance, I guess it's alright for now... Here are some pictures from that night.

Rosie's Bowtique is on Etsy!

As a lot of you already know, I love anything that has to do with crafts! Name the craft, besides sewing (I can't sew!), and I love it! Well, as a lot of you may know as well... I also make and sell children's hair accessories, such as bows, headbands, clips, etc. Well, I'm now on the web with Rosie's Bowtique on Etsy! Etsy is a wonderful site that allows you to buy and sell anything handmade or vintage that you can think of, even a whozit widget crabopple! Just kidding, but close anyways. So, check out my new store, you should be able to click on my logo above, and it will take you right to it. If not, here is the link:
I have a free gift for my first 25 online customers, so check it out!

Poor Rascal!

We got Rascal, our PeekPom, last May (2008). After a full year of trying to train poor Rascal to not pee or poo in my house, and the efforts being fruitless, I decided to go ahead and put him up for adoption. He was adopted very quickly, and is happy now. I think having a home with a backyard is going to help tremendously in the potty training department!

Our Little Trip to Vegas

Hannah and I took a small trip to Las Vegas for the last week or so to visit my Mom, and Hannah's Nana! We were excited to go, and the whole day before Hannah sang a silly song she made up. It goes a little like this, "I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so excited... cuz today is Nana day!". Well we packed everything up, cat and all, and headed down to Vegas. We have been shopping, cooking, helping my Mom, and just plain relaxing! We were only supposed to stay for a week, but somehow that has turned into 10 days!! How does that happen?
