Update

I haven't been the best about keeping my blog updated, and I'm sorry for that... if there is anyone out there that reads my ramblings. Things have been crazy for the last few weeks... Hannah had a dance competition and a performance at a Jazz Game. Then she was home all last week for Spring Break. I have been working a lot both at work and at home.

Things are still rough some days... but we are making it through. When I have more energy, I will write more...

Random Happenings of Hannah and Us..

Hannah is doing really well! She's my bright, spunky 6 year old as always! Tons of energy, and tons of personality! She is the light of our lives. Recently I had an opportunity to go to the Phillipines for 2 months for work, but I think the thing stopping me was her... I just couldn't be without my babe for that long! Although I would love to go.. I think 2 months is too long, and that I should wait until she is older. Well, here are some random happenings of Hannah! Boy, do I love that girl!

- Hannah is on a competition dance team at Syracuse Dance Academy. Here is her starting pose for their competition dance routine! Look at those long dancer legs! We call them "Nana legs", because they are long like her Nana's (my Mama)

My beautiful girl on Christmas Day 2009! Christmas is her favorite time of the year! She looked so beautiful in the dress she got from her Nana, and the bow I made her to match! Here's she checking out her "Preteen" Dora doll from Paw Paw and Grandma Jen!

David and I spent this last New Year's with our friends, LeeAnn and Zach Jones. We went out to dinner at Iggy's, went to see "Avatar", and went to the Comedy Club. We had a great time!

Well, I will be posting more pictures later... right now I have to get ready to go back to the grind! Happy Valentine's everyone!

Saints Won the Super Bowl!

Super Bowl Sunday was a huge event this year in my family! The Saints went to the Super Bowl for the first time, and they won! It was a great game.. ending at 31 to 17. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we are definitely proud of the Saints! Who Dat!

We went over to my Dad's for the game, and shared in food and reveled in the Saints winning the Super Bowl! Here is Hannah in her crazy get up cheering on the Saints!

And the sun breaks through the clouds... if only momentarily

Well, I need to be a little more regular with my blogging, I know that I keep saying that and then I don't deliver, but oh well. I'd really like to start a cooking blog. A friend of mine started a cooking blog, and I just thought that would be fun. Nothing terribly fancy, but just posts on my favorite recipes and things I've made for my family. I don't fancy myself the best cook in the world, but I certainly know how to cook. And I know how to cook what my family loves (and isn't that what counts?? hehe). We'll see if I can ever find the time for that, though...

So, work is going well. I'm really impressed at how fast I am moving up there and certainly feel that my hard work is being noticed and appreciated. I enjoy helping people, and that's what I spend most of my days doing... helping other agents ensure that they can help their customers. And when I'm not doing that, I'm helping my Supervisor complete mounds of paperwork. He says that I'm better at it than he is... but that seems a little "fishy" to me! Oh well, I'm okay with it, and that's what counts. My days off have changed.. instead of Tuesdays and Wednesdays off... it's Monday and Tuesday now. The first Monday off (yesterday) was a little strange because I kept feeling like I was supposed to be somewhere!

Hannah is doing really well in Kindergarten. She actually has a field trip to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden today that I'm going to go help chaperone. She is really excited, and keeps telling me that I'm her partner today, and she can't wait to go! I'm kind of excited as well. I love volunteering at her school. I love St Joseph's... they are such a wonderful school and I'm very happy with our decision to put her in a private Catholic school, and not a public school. No offense against public schools, but I think that this was a better option for us and for her overall.

David is going to be working at Lifetime Products starting next week, which will bring an end to some very hard times for us as of late. I'm very excited about this, and I know he is as well. Life is starting to look up... and the sun is starting to break through the clouds....
